The pear has a lovely gentle flavour, it is a good source of fibre and also contributes to your overall Vitamin C intake. Fibre aids digestion and Vitamin C is needed for healing wounds, keeping the immune system healthy, for normal growth and development and for helping the body to absorb iron.


When to give to your baby 

Pears make a good choice for one of baby’s first fruits. We recommend to start weaning at around 6 months, however every baby is different so follow your instinct or consult your health visitor if you are not sure.
